Pensar que somos responsables de la situación de marginalidad que viven otras personas perturba y por ello preferimos evitar reflexionar sobre nuestro rol en el devenir de estas realidades.
Las relaciones desiguales de poder, la falta de acceso a derechos y el pleno goce de los mismos plantean la urgencia de repensar los conceptos de inclusión y equidad como eje central.
Este libro ofrece una reflexión crítica desde la realidad de distintos sectores de la sociedad que actualmente se encuentran en una situación de marginación:
personas con discapacidad, migrantes, el colectivo LGTBIQ+, mujeres privadas de libertad, entre otros.
Distintas miradas latinoamericanas echan luz sobre la necesidad de repensar el concepto de inclusión, deconstruir patrones caritativos y asistencialistas para movernos hacia un mundo con mayor equidad.
Nuestro objetivo es borrar esas fronteras que marginan, que marcan un adentro y un afuera, un nosotros y un otro marginal que no goza de los mismos derechos.
Pensarlo nos permite transformarlo. Esta obra es el resultado de un esfuerzo colectivo, de activistas y trabajadores de campo, y protagonistas sociales que aspiran a orientar acciones en favor de estos sectores vulnerados.

Thinking that we are responsible for the marginalization experienced by others is unsettling, and for that reason we prefer to avoid reflecting on our role in the unfolding of these realities.
Unequal power relations, lack of access to rights, and the full enjoyment of those rights highlight the urgency of rethinking inclusion and equity as central concepts.
This book offers a critical reflection based on the realities of different sectors of society that are currently in situations of marginalization: people with disabilities, migrants, the LGBTQ+ community, women deprived of liberty, among others.
Different Latin American perspectives shed light on the need to rethink the concept of inclusion, to deconstruct charitable and assistentialist patterns, and to move toward a more equitable world.
Our goal is to erase those boundaries that marginalize, that draw a line between inside and outside, between “us” and a marginalized “other” who does not enjoy the same rights.
Thinking about it allows us to transform it. This work is the result of a collective effort by activists, field workers, and social actors who aspire to guide actions in favor of these vulnerable groups.
